Jackie Ogonji is the Director, Human Resources at SBM Bank Kenya. A tier II Bank that begun operations in Kenya after acquisitions of majority assets and liabilities of Fidelity Commercial Bank and Chase Bank Kenya Ltd in 2017. It has 52 Branches across the country and over 800 employees. She was previously the General Manager Human Resource and Administration at Liquid Telecom Kenya and has 20 years of experience in human resource management having excelled through different levels in her career. She has undertaken different assignments that have enabled her display her “bottom-line” business approach, and focus on aligning HR to the business strategy.

Jackie holds a Bachelor of Economics with a major in Community Development, Bachelor of Business Management in Human Resources and a Master in Governance and Ethics Degrees. She has also pursued other Executive Courses in Leadership, Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial Relations and Strategic Management. She is a full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM), Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Member of Institute of Directors (IOD) and a member of Women on Boards Network (WOBN).

Jackie has always show cased her passion in working with the youth by mentoring them to rise up and be remarkable citizens through different initiatives. In 2016 Jackie received a presidential conferment of the order of the grand warrior of Kenya (OGW) for her leadership in developing and implementing successfully an internship program under the Ministry of ICT which transformed the Governments digital projects.

She holds various leadership positions in boards and groups and is currently the President for Industrial Practitioners in Kenya, a member of the PTA in various local schools and the Chair of the Advisory Council of the Presidential Digital Talent Program (PDTP) under the Ministry of ICT, Vice Chair Memberships & Programs Committee (WOBN), Council Member and Chair of HR Committee at Kenya Institute of Bankers (KIB) amongst others.

Ezra is a Partner at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews. He is part of the Litigation team and is a member of the Employment, Banking and Finance, Environment and Planning, and Real Estate practice groups. He has vast experience in employment-related litigation where he is on record on several occasions representing various clients on employment disputes He is currently a member of the Court Users Committee of the Employment & Labour Relations Court of Kenya which has representatives from the Judiciary, Law Society of Kenya and all the stakeholders in the justice sector. The committee discusses all matters affecting the Employment & Labour Relations Court and how to improve service delivery in the settlement of employment and Industrial relations. He is also the Convenor of the Environment and Land Court Bar Bench Committee of Nairobi which has representatives from the Judiciary and the Law Society of Kenya.

Ezekiel Macharia is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK) and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Kenya. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi.

Ezekiel joined the financial services provider, Kenbright Holdings Limited, in 2016 as CEO and Chief Actuary in charge of its subsidiaries in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania & Rwanda.
In his professional career, Ezekiel has over thirteen years’ experience in the East African market specialising in property & casualty, life and health insurance. He previously served in the Council of the Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK) for six years where he supported the development of actuarial and risk management skills in East Africa.

Ezekiel is passionate about development of health financing in Kenya and currently chairs the Health Working Party within the Actuarial Society of Kenya.

Under the leadership of Ezekiel, Kenbright is leading in the innovation of employee benefits provision through digitization in Kenya where Kenbright has won various awards for its MINT Medical Fund Management service and Vehicle.co.ke – An Insurance Motor Aggregator.

Kenbright recently partnered in 2019 with UK based company, Collinson, to introduce SmartHealth in Kenya, an International Medical Insurance which covers COVID-19 and which also provides inpatient limit of up-to half billion.

Emily is the Founder and Director of Rise & Learn Global, a Human Resource Consulting Firm that provides HR Outsourcing, Training & Professional Coaching services. She is also the Kenya Partner for Erickson Coaching International, an organization committed to providing ICF Accredited programs and represented in 85 countries with more than 45,000 Erickson Coaches.

Emily has over 16 years’ experience, having worked for Kenya Airways and Syngenta & Jubilee Insurance where she served as Group Head of Human Resources. She is experienced in HR strategy development, Leadership, change management, Coaching, Career and organizational development having worked and supported various countries across Africa & Middle East.

Emily was named Manager of the Year in 2014 during Company of the Year Awards (Kirit Dave Award) organized by Kenya Institute of Management. She is also a member at the Human Capital Institute (HCI), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and IHRM Kenya.

She has previously served as a Council Member for the Institute of Human Resource Management in Kenya and is the past President for ICF Kenya Chapter. Emily currently serves as a Global Director of International Coaching Federation (ICF) the largest global coaching organization with over 40,000 members. In 2020 she served as Treasurer for the Professional Coaches Board, ICF. Emily was most recently appointed to the Governing Council of the Pan African Christian (PAC) University.

Emily holds an MBA (Nairobi University) a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management (Moi University), A Higher Diploma in Commercial French (Alliance Francaise) and A Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management (IHRM Kenya). She is holds an ICF Coaching credential (ACC), is certified John Maxwell Coach, Speaker & Trainer and certified in several psychometric and
leadership assessments.
