Alice Muriithi is an Associate Director at PwC Kenya - Tax Unit with over 10 years experience. Alice Is a specialist in tax and transfer pricing . Her core areas of expertise are in advising clients on a diverse range of tax issues such as corporate tax and witholding tax consulting, transfer pricing planning & dispute resolution and double tax treaty interpretation and optimization.

Alice's tax experience involves aspects such as corporate tax consulting, withholding tax reviews and inbound tax advice. Alice has also been involved in designing transfer pricing policies for Kenyan grown multinationals with a presence across Africa and advising global multinational on transfer pricing issues arising in areas such as franchise fees, royalties , management fees , trade of products across borders and economic substance reviews.

Alice has experience in defending clients' tax position both before the Revenue Authority and before the Tax Appeals Tribunal.

Alice’s articles on the subject of Base Erosion and Profit Shifting, international tax and transfer pricing have been published by leading dailies such as the Business Daily, Daily Nation and the East African Standard. Alice has made submissions on international tax issues to various policy makers such as the Parliamentary Budget Office and the Finance and Trade Committee of Parliament.

Alice holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) from the University of Nairobi and is a CPA finalist. Alice also holds an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) with distinction issued by the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Patrick is an experienced tax professional having worked at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) for about 25 years. At KRA, he worked in agriculture, manufacturing, energy and excise sectors among others. He headed the transfer pricing audit sector (now transformed into the International Tax Office) for 10 years. He was also involved in tax treaty negotiations and represented Kenya in base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) discussions at the OECD. He is also a member of the inclusive framework that oversees the implementation of BEPS recommendations. He has been involved in capacity building in several African countries notably the Republic of Botswana where the focus was taxation of the diamond sector, a program sponsored by UNDP in conjunction with the OECD.

He is an accredited trainer for the commonwealth on matters of tax treaties. 

He holds a Masters of Laws (LLM), Bachelor of laws (LLB), Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and is currently pursuing Masters of Arts (Economics) at the University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K).
