Richard is the CEO of Africa Logistics Properties (ALP). ALP is a Kenya based company that specialises in developing modern distribution centres and industrial warehouses with flexible designs and specifications to cater for the ever-changing needs of today’s logistics, distribution and light manufacturing operations.


Richard has over 14 years’ experience in developing warehouse facilities. Richard has sound financial skills with considerable experience in multi-jurisdictional project structures and legal agreements as well as deep experience of the Russian and UK market. Earlier in his career Richard worked in audit, IT and residential property development. Prior to joining ALP in 2017 Richard was the Development Director at Raven Property Group Limited (formerly Raven Russia) and he oversaw the construction or acquisition of 1.2m square metres of warehouses in that role. Raven Property Group Limited is a listed property investment company on the London Stock Exchange. The company specialises in commercial and industrial property development in the Russian Federation and CIS states.

Richard is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) in England and Wales.

Alexandre Vincent is the Head of projects & Corridors for Bollore Logistic Kenya since 2018. He’s in charge of the port operations in Mombasa, bulk and projects operations, transit import and export traffic between Mombasa and the inlands countries.

Previously, he worked for Bollore Logistic Tanzania where he acted as Corridors manager, based in Dar Es Salaam, from 2014 to 2016, then as Country operation manager from 2016 to 2018.

Joshua is currently the Chief Executive Officer at East Africa Exchange (EAX), a regional commodity exchange. Prior to joining EAX, Joshua was the Managing Director at H2O Venture Partners, providing leadership for the firms Africa operations. H2O Venture Partners is an investment firm that is building and investing in profitable, high-growth, high-impact, agricultural and health ventures in East Africa.

Joshua also served as the East Africa Portfolio Director at Palladium Group, a global impact and management consulting firm working in over 90 countries.

Prior to this, Joshua spent 10 years in private equity and investment management at RGG Capital Partners in the US. He began his career in sales and supply chain management at the Weaver Company, a fast-growing international snack Food Company with facilities in the United States of America, Europe and Argentina. He currently serves as the Chairman of the National Agricultural Export Board (NAEB) in Rwanda.

Mike Davis is the CEO at Rongai Workshop & Transport Ltd, a Kenyan company with over 70 years of continuous transport and logistical service to the region. Rongai has a 100 strong fleet of trucks, providing long haul transport as well as local “last mile” operations in Mombasa and Nairobi. It has three fully equipped private container yards, in Mombasa, Nairobi and Rongai near Nakuru which is also the location of the company’s head office.

Rongai excels at service provision with a strong reputation for reliability and consistency. It’s no nonsense approach to tacking and solving logistical problems has earned it long-standing relationships that have withstood the test of time, allowing its clients to focus on their core business in the knowledge that the logistics is in safe hands.

Gilbert Langat is the Chief Executive Officer of Shippers Council of Eastern Africa since 2007. Prior to the current position, he held various senior positions in logistics, insurance and safety industry. His responsibilities included lobbying on facilitation of faster clearance of cargo, removal of transit bottlenecks and professionalizing of the freight Forwarding business through Training and organizational transformation. As the founding head of the Shippers Council, he is responsible for driving the advocacy of the cargo owner issues relating to transport and logistics in the country and the Northern Corridor. Through his leadership SCEA has grown into a respectable Transport and logistics advocacy organization with regional presence.

Gilbert has solid experience in logistics and trade facilitation lobbying and advocacy with competence in cross border trade facilitation, Transit and customs clearance. He has been involved in task forces in Customs documentation, port systems evaluation, Community based system development and system automation, ISCOS technical committees on Shipping and lead expert in the development of the Regional Customs Agents curriculum. He has participated in various committees reviewing border clearance including one stop border post.

Gilbert Holds a BA degree in Management, from Moi University, Executive MBA from Copenhagen University with various training in Logistics, Customs and Trade facilitation. He also seats in various committees in the transport and logistics sector.
